The public appointment and oath as expert for geotechnics, earthworks and foundation engineering has been confirmed. The appointment is made by the responsible Chamber of Industry and Commerce and requires special professional expertise, personal suitability and extensive professional experience.
At this year's Landfill Engineering Conference, a contribution was presented on current challenges in stability assessment of landfill structures. The lecture addressed recent approaches to numerical modelling and evaluation of the interaction between sealing systems and support structures.
